Abstract
This study was undertaken to define the prognostic value of the expression of c-erbB-2 oncoprotein in 40 breast cancer patients.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) Overall, 32% of patients were positive for c-erbB-2 oncoprotein.
2) Positive staining correlated with menopause status, tumor size and TNM staging, but not with axillary nodal status.
3) Although there was apparent difference in cumulative survival rates between positive-and negative-staining groups, it was not statistically significant(p=0.0625).
